What I Take Seriously & What I Don’t

“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” This is one of the most terrifying scenes in the move “The Shining”. In this movie, the character is so intent on focusing on his writing that everything else falls apart.

I have very strong convictions about family, country, government and deep dives that bring up all the issues associated with these.

WHAT I TAKE SERIOUSLY

Family-Abortion: Pro-life, pro-family

Country-America First

Government-Limited, small and out of my life. Stop taxing me to fund social agendas I don’t agree with!

LGBT-Your decisions are your own, don’t push the “I will force you to accept me and my lifestyle or I will destroy you” tactic as I will resist.

Education– Education, not indoctrination. Schooling is to adopt life skills and knowledge, not learn about how evil the Pilgrims were. Our history is messy, but it’s ours.

WHAT I DON’T TAKE SERIOUSLY

Myself- I’m a deeply flawed and imperfect man, full of cracks and voids. I know God is not finished with me yet and I am always willing to admit I don’t have all the answers I’m seeking. I understand that my deeply held beliefs can evolve or even change with new information. We are all on a journey through life and we all die. While here, let’s build something good, let’s practice acts of kindness, protect what and whom we hold dear and sometimes…dare to dance in public.

This guy puts himself out there in ways I don’t dare (or would ever want to!)
